Orchard Hill, is an elegant Bed and Breakfast located just north of Kansas City,
near Excelsior Springs, Missouri. 

We are a Bed and Breakfast and Event venue located only 40 minutes North of downtown Kansas City and only 20 minutes from William Jewell College.

If you are looking for either a great weekend getaway or an amazing location to hold an event, then we are excited to offer you a memorable experience.  Our Bed and Breakfast sits on a beautiful 80-acre spread.  With this expanse of land, we can accommodate a large group, or allow for peaceful reflection away from your stressful day-to-day schedule.

Enjoy the expansive grounds . . .
The bed and breakfast is designed in the Arts and Crafts Bungalow style which is reminiscent of historic Kansas City.  The accents with wood detailing and the stone base gives the new construction a feel of early 20th century charm.  There are interesting and attractive views from all sides of the house with porches and exterior spaces on each side.  These offer a variety of outdoor ‘rooms’.  Each porch becomes a unique space with a different mood and varying vistas of the surrounding landscape.  Choose a sunny porch for basking in the sun or a shaded covered portico to feel the cool breeze while reading a good book.

The bed and breakfast sits on 80 acres of rolling pasture and provides plenty of space for roaming and solitude. We have mowed walking trails that extend north and south from the house to allow you to roam the full length of the property. Each vantage point gives you a unique and charming view of the bed and breakfast. There is also a ½ acre pond on the property and is stocked with Catfish, as well as Blue Gill, Perch and Bullhead.

The bed and breakfast boasts beautiful rooms in addition to the luxurious elegance of the suites.  Whether for intimate conversations away from the party, or a good book and cup of coffee, slip into one of our many spaces to find that perfect getaway space.
 
The main rooms of the bed and breakfast are decorated in a rustic old-world style with warm earth tones and natural hues.  The rooms are connected in an open layout and allow your eye to easily flow from one to the next.  This also lends itself well to parties, weddings, and gatherings where the flow of the space is important for social mingling.
 
As you enter the bed and breakfast in the entry hall, you are greeted by the marble floors and Tuscan inspired walls.  The entry hall leads into the two-story greatroom with a woodstove and upper library.  The spiral staircase allows you to grab a book from the shelves and come back down to sit in front of the fire.  Off the greatroom is the formal dining room.  This leads into the main living room.  The living room is anchored by an entire wall of built-in cabinetry and media area.  With the 52” HD TV and fireplace as focal points, this space is a truly warm and inviting space to watch your favorite movie.  This area flows into the breakfast niche and kitchen.  The kitchen leads you back to the entry hall to complete an entire circle.
 
If you need more than a casual stroll around the grounds to get your blood pumping, we also have a fitness room for your use. The room is equipped with a two station workout machine that allows you to work just about all muscle groups. In addition we have a treadmill and some free weight dumbbells. There are also towels and bottled water for your enjoyment.
